Default Can't Dedicate my Phoenix?

I tamed the Phoenix, then raised it to 20 and it's a Hearty. Is there some reason it won't dedicate?

edit: Dedicating with the character who tamed it originally worked - apparently you cannot dedicate if you raise it on a different character!

How do you raise a pet on a different character than the one it is already been tamed to?

Are you saying you tamed a phoenix in the HoM more than once and tried to dedicate the second one? (And all this was happening whilst you already had a levelled phoenix on a different character?)

That doesn't sound fair at all if you're the type of person who likes to view their HoM on a character basis, rather than account-wide.

This or you haven't set up a tapestry for that monument on that specific character.

Rainbow Phoenix doesn't have a statue, Imperial one does.

It was an Imperial one - I captured the Phoenix on one character, stored it in the Menagerie, captured it with a different one, raised it from 5 to 20... and it wouldn't dedicate

Then I stored it at 20 in the Menagerie, switched back to the char who captured it originally, grabbed it at level 20 and that allowed me to dedicate it.

Sort of silly, but that's how it works apparently.

Weird thing, should perfectly work. You sure you had tapestry displayed on the char that couldn't display the bird?

Maybe it's an issue of duplicate statues?

This is a bug. If you captured it from the menagerie grounds at level 5 (dont know if its all the time or sometimes) then it wont work. Just show it to the menagerie and capture a level 20 one from the tamer then it will work.

I think the imperial pheonix is the only one that does this.

Almost positive I used different toons to add the Phoenix to my hall. Did Shiro with Rit and capped it. Brought it to Menagerie and switched to Ranger to dlvl it to 20 and took that Phoenix to the hall to dedicate it.

Ranger put hearty phoenix into the menagerie.

My necro took out a lvl 15 dire version took it up to 20 and dedicated it in the hom.

That's the phoenix you capture after completing Factions

I'd check to make sure that the character that couldn't dedicate it actually has a tapestry on the appropriate monument. The tapestries are not account wide. Each character needs the tapestries in their individual HoM in order to put stuff in it.

Could be a bug. My monk is the only toon I'm working on as far as the hall goes. When I checked the calculator it said I still needed an UW spider. Problem was, I already had one dedicated in the hall from last year. No matter what it wouldn't show, so I had to get one from the Menagerie for my ranger and dedicated it on him. It finally showed after that.

I've recently been helping folks charm Black Moas (which start at lv 20.) Over 25 charmed so far. All but one of them went into the Hall (got the Black Moa statue) just fine, but one guy's, an1sh's, glitched and wouldn't immediately go into the hall.

an1sh found a workaround as follows.
- Take the bird to the menagerie and show it to Emryd, then release it.
- Charm a level 5 version on the grounds, then release that to Emryd, too.
- Then Wynn will spawn new lv 20 versions. Charm one of those, and it should go into the Hall monument without any more trouble.

It sounds like you're running into the same kind of glitch. I've no idea why it happens/what causes the glitch, but such workarounds seem to fix it for folks.
